My name is Natasha South, and I've been working in the recruitment industry for 13 years.
Like many people, I initially fell into recruitment after graduating from the University of Leicester with a 1st Class Degree in Psychology & Neuroscience.
I realised early on in my degree that I had no interest in sitting in a lab, I loved people and more importantly, I loved BUSINESS. I changed the focus of degree to Organisational Psychology and began developing a passion for how businesses operate and how the human condition effects the success of a company.
From here I joined my first role in Recruitment as a Tech Recruiter for small startup business and never looked back!
Aside from my love for business, I am an all round nerd! I love numbers, data, physics, history, geography (my party trick is naming every country in the world...) and all things Sci-fi, as well as a deeply unhealthy obsession with my cats (ask to see my werewolf).

I progressed into a management position as a Recruiter, before making the move into Operations to help grow my first Recruitment Business from 18 to 40 people in 3 years.
This was my first experience of building an operations function from scratch. Growing from being in a standalone role to a team of 4 covering specialist areas.
From here I moved to Camino Partners, where I have spent the last 7 years. During this time we have tripled headcount (twice, thanks to covid), launched multiple new brands, opened international offices, won multiple awards, grown into new office spaces and built a fantastic team of 5 non-sales professionals to drive the business forward into it's next stage of growth.
Camino Partners is the only recruitment consultancy that specialises solely on placing all non-sales roles into the recruitment sector and this gave me a totally unique perspective on the role of Operations and I began providing support to our clients on how to build out their Ops functions.
From here I realised how many people were working in similar standalone positions, or for non-operational managers and had no one to bounce ideas off or a clear path for development & progression.
With the backing of Camino, I began to run networking events to bring the Ops professionals together. From discussing career paths, to specific challenges, swapping suppliers or simply sharing war stories, I have built a strong and valuable community for all levels of Ops professionals in the recruitment sector. *
Departing from Camino, I decided I wanted to fix the problem of the lack of training, support and development for Operations. I decided to undertake a Coaching and Mentoring qualification and bring my experience, knowledge and skills to the rest of the sector.
'Operations is the glue that holds your recruitment business together' - Sachin Ruparelia, CEO, Camino Partners.
Let's make that glue as strong as possible!
